This article was one of the proudest moments of my life. What I didn’t realize at the time was how much it meant to my friends and family. They were so happy to see me accomplish one of my major life goals by making it into the magazine.

The story behind my Men’s Health

18 months prior to being featured in the magazine I had a serious dirt bike accident, which required me to have a major shoulder operation. The procedure I had was a full acromioclavicular reconstruction – trust me, it was not pleasant.
Having beenan active sports person my whole life, I was devastated when the surgeon told me how long the expected recovery was……12 months!
To make matters worse, I was told that I could not play my favourite contact sport without major risk of re-injuring myself and doing doing serious permanent damage.
The situation got much worse
before it got any better
4 months and 17kg after my accident
For four months after my operation, I had my shoulder in a sling and was confined to the lounge room of my house.
Being stuck in the lounge was far worse to me than any amount of pain from the operation because it was like being forced to sit in the sideline of life. It was something I had never experienced.
I wasn’t able to go out or do anything for risk of damage to my shoulder.
For the first time in my life, I began to put on weight - and not in a good way. The forced lack of physical activity combined with a degree of “comfort” eating caught me off guard at my lowest point.
Just four months after my surgery, I was 17kgs heavier than my “competition” weight.
Fortunately, I knew what I had to do to reverse the situation and Now You can too!
Monitoring my food intake was the logical step to weight control and I was literally giving myself the advice that I had shown to many others. The same advice I give You in the Six Pack WithoutSitups program.
The knowledge about fat loss I had learnt through studying nutrition, bodybuilding and exercise textbooks now had much more relevance and meant more to me. This was due to the fact that I was learning through personal experience, which is undisputedly the best way to learn anything.
I began to speed things up by setting myself a specific goal – I was going to get my body into top shape to be able to compete in an upcoming regional bodybuilding championship.
Returning to the gym, I was disappointed to realize that my bench press was down to a measly 100lbs from a previous personal best of 315lbs.
To say that I learnt a lot more than I ever knew about techniques for training around an injury was a major understatement. I devoured every text I could find for knowledge to help regain my upper body strength.
I ended up losing 15kg (33lbs) in just twelve weeks and competed in the regional Bodybuilding Championship and I placed 2nd in my division! Remember this was AFTER a full Shoulder Reconstruction!
Even though we all like to win, I was truly ecstatic; I had applied myself and was duly rewarded. If you had asked me when I started my preparation, I would have told you that I didn’t expect to get a place in the competition & was therefore very happy with my result.
While most people are not interested in getting into natural bodybuilding, everyone wants to feel better about their body and is entitled to do it in a safe manner, thisis exactly what the Six Pack Without Situps program will teach you.
